  • On Saturday December 7, the day of St. Ambrogio, patron saint of the city of Milan, an audience composed of prestigious figures including President Sergio Mattarella, Senator Liliana Segre, fashion designer Domenico Dolce, and even American singer, musician and author Patti Smith, gathered at the prestigious La Scala Theatre for this Opera season’s opening night: a central event dedicated to the celebration of culture and its importance to society.
  • Accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luigi Di Maio, and the Minister of Technological Innovation Paola Pisano, the Italian President travelled to DC, where he met with Trump, as well as the leadership of the Italian American Congressional Delegation, and Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi. He then went to San Francisco to visit startup companies Kong and Nozomi Networks, participate in the Italy-US Innovation Forum, and meet with the Mayor of San Francisco and the Governor of California.

His 30-minute speech was interrupted by no less than nine standing ovations and 42 rounds of applause.
