THREE CENTURIES OF ITALIAN MUSIC

Three centuries of Italian music

April 7-10, 2011 – BargeMusic, New York

For the first time in New York, this four-concerts series provides a wide selection of the best Italian piano music written in three centuries, from 1710 to 2010. Each concert presents pieces written in different times, combined in carefully balanced programs. Several rarities and first US performances. The programs will comprise two pieces written by Rossini in 1861 in occasion of the unification of Italy.

Each concert will be presented in English by the Italian musicologist and radio speaker Valentina Lo Surdo.
The performers will be Roberto Prosseda, Alessandra Ammara and Mattia Ometto.
