Claudio Magris resumes and reinvents the timeless story of the ancient and mysterious myth of Orfeo and Euridice in a contemporary way, exploring the deep meaning of the love of Orfeo with his lost lover, Euridice, prisoner of the realm of the dead.
Story involves Euridice being admitted to a nursing home and ruled by an invisible President. As the story unfolds, Orfeo gains permission to take her away with him, provided he does not turn around to look at her before they came out in the open air.
