  • On June 10, 2010 the National Organization of Italian American Women celebrated its 30th Anniversary. Guests of honor were Lidia Bastianich and her family, "for being such an outstanding example of an Italian American family and for successfully promoting our heritage". For the occasion five young Italian-American women were awarded $5,000 NOIAW scholarships as a contribution and encouragement to pursue their studies
  • The National Organization of Italian American Women, in collaboration with ANFE (Associazione Nazionale Famiglie Emigranti), is organizing a trip to Sicily (Palermo, Catania, and surrounding areas) and Rome from April 20 to April 29. Take a break from your everyday life and reconnect with your roots in this relaxing and fun tour! Show-biz stars Joe Bologna and Renee Tayler will accompany you throughout the trip , while former governor of the State of New York Mario Cuomo and his wife Matilda will join the group for some of the activities scheduled! The trip is open to everybody, but very few places are left. Hurry up!
  • An impressive dinner organized by the Italian community at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York concluded the official state visit of the President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies. Gianfranco Fini addressed the diverse components of Italian emigration to the U.S. and earned once again the kind of bipartisan respect that Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed to him in Washington last week.
  • This year’s edition of the National Italian American Women’s Organization Luncheon was held at the Waldorf Astoria on Sept. 26. Five scholarships were given to young college students from around the country. During the ceremony, Geraldine Ferraro was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Among those attending, also the former Governor of the State of New York Mario Cuomo and his son, the Attorney General Andrew Cuomo
