The exhibition recreates and brings to new life the fairytale atmosphere of the Italian Renaissance, within that green area in the north of Italy known as the Pianura Padana, between the cities of Cremona, Mantua and Ferrara. The exhibition displays an extraordinary array of wooden models of still existing buildings nestled in the Padania countryside: wonderful replicas of historic country houses with thier distinctive turrets and moats and their harmonious appearances proportioned with mathematical precision.

Jonathan Galassi will read from his critically-acclaimed translation of Giacomo Leopardi's Canti and will participate in a roundtable discussion on the art of translation with Luigi Bonaffini, Jane Tylus, and Michael  Palma. Reception and entertainment to follow featuring accordionist Ida Corvino. All are welcomed.

 100 dancers will gather in silent procession, forming patterns of concentric circles to create a peace labyrinth while encircling the Revson Fountain as a symbol of eternity, compassion and continuity of the life cycle. At 8:46 AM, recalling the moment when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower, the dancers will turn their wrists with open palms and extend their arms to the sky for one minute, evoking the simple gesture of universal peace. The dancers invite all spectators to join them in this ritual.
