Three speakers from Italy will take part: PIERCAMILLO DAVIGO, a sitting judge who was one of the chief prosecutors in the famous corruption investigation known as "Operation Clean Hands," and MARCO TRAVAGLIO and PETER GOMEZ, two bestselling authors who write on corruption and official wrongdoing in the Italy of current Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Travaglio and Gomez have also started a new daily newspaper called "Il Fatto Quotidiano" (The Daily Fact).

Enzo Cucchi, born in 1949, is a prominent Italian artist who together with Francesco Clemente, Nicola De Maria and Mimmo Paladino , led the Italian Neo – Expressionist movement named by art critic Achille Bonito Oliva as Transavanguardia. Cucchi's first major retrospective was held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, in 1986, and his works are to be found in numerous museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art - New York, the Tate - London, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Enzo Cucchi lives and works in Rome and Ancona.

The Italian Cultural Institute of New York is pleased to invite you to "Gianluca Pellerito Quartet: Live in Concert".
The quartet will perform jazz masterpieces (Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Jorge Ben Length, Kenny Dorham, Alfred James Ellis, Enrique Granado,Tito Puente) and tracks from Pellerito's CD, released in collaboration with Peter Erskine and Alex Acuna.G. Pellerito is the first and youngest musician set to perform at the Kennedy Center on September 7th. Furthermore, he will represent Italy at the Shangai Expo on August 21st.
