    Matteo Fedeli: A Man With a Stradivari...in New York

    On June 11th, Maestro Matteo Fedeli, accompanied by Andrea Carcano on the piano, played the 1715 Bazzini violin by Antonio Stradivari. The concert, at the beautiful Church of St. Anthony of Padua in New York, was organized in collaboration with the European American Chamber of Commerce.

    Where are all the Stradivaris of the world? Most of them are owned by very rich collectors, banks, museums, and only very few artists are allowed to play them, according to the owners' desire. Recently screened at Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimò, Director Tim Meara's documentary "In Search of the Messiah" recounts the story of the famous violinist Ruth Palmer who travels throughout the world in search of a Stradivari to play.
