    The Consulate General of Italy together with the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, and the four Cities of the Medicean Versilia – Pietrasanta, Seravezza, Forte dei Marmi and Stazzema – present “Michelangelo and Versilia”, an initiative organized at the Italian Cultural Institute to illustrate the excellences of the territory and to highlight the historical and artistic figure of Michelangelo in the Versilia area, who here lived and worked. Participate in the project also the Artigianart Association and the Cosmave Consortium of Pietrasanta.

    The Italian Cultural Institute of New York, the Museum of Moving Image, the Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimò, the Queens College City University of New York and Cinecittà Luce mark the centenary of the birth of the Italian director with a series of film screenings and educational talks.
  • His fame as a great narrator precedes him, and all the American presidents, from Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama have visited Rome with him telling them its history.  Art historian, Professor Enrico Bruschini led the audience of the Italian Cultural Institute through the symbols, new discoveries and secret codes of Italian art history. Presented by ILICA, in collaboration with the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce, the conference “The Cultural Contribution of Italy to Humanity,” celebrated the Unity of Italy through its art.
  • Michelangelo: A Life on Paper
    In Leonard Barkan's new study, "Michelangelo: A Life on Paper", fragments of poetry and image details point to the artist's rich interior life. Interdisciplinary research and enlightened discussion show how Petrarch, Dante, Donatello and Leonardo informed and inspired Michelangelo's hand.
  • Nicola Gardini, poet, scholar and essayist, presented his latest book, Rinascimento [Renaissance], Monday evening at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò. A Lecturer in Medieval and Modern Languages at Oxford, Gardini received his Ph.D. from New York University.
