LUIGI GHIRRI

Luigi Ghirri was born in 1943 in Scandiano, Italy and died at the young age of 49 in 1992. During his relatively short life, he revolutionized Italian photography in the 1970s. Although widely considered a pioneer and master of contemporary color photography, Ghirri’s international reputation never fully took root before his death. It’s Beautiful in Here, Isn’t It… is his first publication in English and to get major distribution in the United States and introduce his work to the large international audience it deserves.
