Lecture: VILLA LA PIETRA: Living on the Land with Poetry and Practicality

Villa La Pietra exemplifies the elegant tradition of Augustan Rome and Renaissance Florence for living well on the land and being inspired by the life to think, write and philosophize. Kim will talk about this tradition and his work with New York University on the restoration of the grounds and gardens over the past 15 years. He will explore the creative forces generated by the Villa and show how the concepts have influenced his own work in Britain, Russia and America.
