Claudio Angelini, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, poet and renowned Italian journalist, will be awarded the Nosside Poetry Prize for lifetime achievements during a ceremony that will also include the presentation of the 2007 International Nosside Prize. The event will be hosted by: Pasquale Amato, President of the Centro Studi Bosio and Premio Nosside, and Tatiana Vavachin, coordinator of the Nosside’s English-language section. During the event, the videos of the 2006 NossideVideo and NossideMusica competitions will be screened: “Cammino” by Pino Amaddeo (directed by Salvatore Canale) and “Principi del silenzio” by Miguel Angel Ribó (music by Iván Domínguez de la Hoz). Endorsed by UNESCO, the Nosside Prize is a multilingual and multimedia global poetry contest for unpublished works. It will be awarded on World Poetry Day, March 21. Past Nosside Prize winners for written poetry were Silvia Kaputikyan (Armenia) in 1989, Miquel Martì y Pol (Spain) in 1991, and Bella Achmadulina (Russia) in 1992. www.nosside.com
