Tuesday, September 25thDisCorDanza (an Italian play-on-words for “conversation, heart, and dance” meaning “discordance”) is a multifaceted, interactive project that aims to immerse the public in the evolution of dance. For a long while, this fine art was solely Italian, and it then continued on to strongly influence the dancing style and custom in the most important European Courts. Maestro Marco Pelle, resident choreographer at the New York Theatre Ballet, seeks to take the public on a journey through anecdotes, history, videos, photos, and music as they experience for themselves this fascinating evolution.A lecture by Marco Pelle featuring various film segments.RSVP 212 879 4242 ext 362
