2019 Diversity Visa Green Card Lottery Opens!
DV Lottery 2019
The U.S. Department of State has announced that entries for the DV-2019 lottery began accepting entries as of October 3, 2017 at noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and will continue to accept entries until noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4), Tuesday, November 7, 2017. As no late or paper entries will be accepted, all entries must be submitted electronically at www.dvlottery.state.gov. Please note that the U.S. Department of State has also indicated that individuals who attempt to submit multiple entries will be automatically disqualified from participating.
As you are aware, the Department of State administers the Congressionally-mandated Diversity Immigrant Visa Program annually. For Fiscal Year 2019, 50,000 Diversity Visas (DVs) will be available. There is no cost to register for the DV program.
Those individuals not eligible to participate in the upcoming DV-2019 are natives of Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (Mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
Persons born in Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Taiwan are eligible.
