Tao Kulczycki (b.1987) is an Italian artist currently based in New York. He obtained his MFA from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn (NY) in 2013.Kulczycki's work can be summarised as a hybridization between the self, the surreal and the symbol reflecting present day life and our state of mind. His work involves modifying objects and their concepts. The exhibition will feature sculptures, screen prints and photos. This includes bronze, aluminum, concrete and fiberglass sculptures. In 2013, The New York Times wrote "My eye was drawn to a bronze sculpture of a toilet brush with a hand grenade at the end of its handle. It was too far away for me to make out the label, so I could only try to guess its title: A brush with death? Explosive bowel movements? Trench stench? Its title: On the Throne."
