1 Exhibition - 3 Days of Creative Expression and 30+ Fashion-Influenced Global Artists - ART Meets FASHION exhibit starts September 13-15, 2013 at Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Beginning September 13 through September 15, 2013, art and fashion aficionados have an opportunity to attend one of the most diverse art exhibitions in Brooklyn!

The Foundation for Art In Motion and the BK Style Foundation present the first annual ART Meets FASHION (AMF) exhibit at Industry City (located at 241 West 37th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York). Showcasing three days of collective artistry, AMF is an international exhibit and includes fashion influenced artwork, sculpture and video installations created by 30+ artists from New York, Brazil, Italy, Africa, Hong Kong and Spain.

Curated by Italian Artist, Marco Gallotta, Brazilian Curator and Artist, Antonio Oliveira, Ford Model and Founder of Art In Motion, Monica Watkins. Participating artists include revered Fashion Illustrator, Bil Donovan and world-renowned Accessories Designer, Carlos Falchi. The goal of AMF is to strengthen and celebrate the arts and fashion culture in Brooklyn.

Musical performances are curated by Artist Rep., Paco Lampecinado. Featured performances include the award winning producer/band out of Cuba "Doble Filo" (Mega Producer Edgar Gonzalez) and rapper/painter Josama Palabra, DJ C.M.A., DJ Sirak, CharlieRED, Polly A and Project X.

Proud sponsors include the MoCADA Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts, The Clever Agency, Industry City and Fashionweek Brooklyn. AMF explores the intricate relationship between art and fashion while providing an innovative platform for the 30+ artists to network with other curators, galleries and  collectors building a relationship with the media and creating brand awareness.

40% of all exhibit artwork sold and 100% of this year’s silent auction and luxury raffle proceeds will benefit the BK Style Foundation and the Foundation for Art in Motion and their collaborative education initiative in Brooklyn.

BK Style Foundation (BKSF) is a 501 (C3) Public Charity founded in 2004. BKSF provides a platform for Brooklyn’s explosive fashion and creative talent. BKSF produces Fashion Week Brooklyn (formerly known as BK Fashion Weekend), a bi-annual collection show, featuring emerging and established fashion designers from around the world. The next Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion Week Brooklyn collection show will be October 3- 6, 2013 at Industry City.

Foundation for Art in Motion is a 501 (C3) founded in 2008 by Ford Model Monica Watkins. The mission of Art in Motion is to inspire, uplift and strengthen local communities by cultivating their children through the arts. The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) uses the visual arts as a point of departure for exploring new artistic production across a variety of disciplines.
