Giuseppe Tornatore, a Sicilian Italian filmmaker, plans to film his new movie The Correspondence in the northwestern Piedmont region.

The film stars Jeremy Irons, an English actor. He is well known for the films The French Lieutenant’s Woman, which earned him a BAFTA nomination for best actor, and Dead Ringers. Irons played the accused murderer Claus von Bülow in Reversal of Fortune, and won an Academy Award for Best Actor. He was also the voice of Scar in Disney’s The Lion King.

Irons has also made multiple appearances on television. He won his first Golden Globe Award in the ITV series Brideshead Revisited. He received an Emmy award for Best Supporting Actor opposite Helen Mirren in the historical miniseries Elizabeth I.

Jeremy Irons won the rare “Triple Crown of Acting,” for winning an Academy Award for film, an Emmy Award for television and a Tony Award for theatre.

The film also stars Olga Kurylenko, a French actress and model. She became well known by playing Bond girl Camille Montes in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace. More recently, she starred alongside Tom Cruise in Oblivion and Russell Crowe in The Water Diviner.

Similarly to Tornatore’s last film, The Best Offer, his new movie is produced by Arturo Paglia and Isabella Cocuz. This movie will also be filmed in England and Scotland.

The soundtrack is by famous composer, orchestrator and conductor Ennio Morricone. Tornatore has worked with Morricone in the past, such as for the 1988 film Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, which earned him an Oscar.

Ennio Morricone has written music for more than 500 motion pictures and television series. His music has been used in more than 60 award-winning films. Morricone is able to produce beautiful and moving music in many different composition genres, making him one of the most influential composers of all time.

Morricone achieved worldwide fame by composing the music for Italian westerns such as A Pistol for Ringo, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mercenary and My Name is Nobody.

He wrote the official theme song for the 1978 FIFA World Cup.

Recently, Morricone’s work has been reused for television and movies such as Inglorious Bastards and Django Unchained. He received an Academy Award for his contributions to film music. Morricone has won three Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, five BAFTAs, ten David di Donatello, eleven Nastro d’Argento, two European Film Awards, the Golden Lion Honorary Award and the Polar Music Prize.

The film The Correspondence follows the story of a university student who also works as a stuntwoman. It focuses on her relationship with her astrophysics professor who tries to help her with her obsession for risk and her feelings of guilt.
